‘CopeBeanz’ hope, in a time of ‘Cope’.
What is ‘Cope’?
The NFT space is filled with ‘Cope’. The term used when you are ‘coping with your loss’. The ‘Cope’ across the space intensifies as the floor price of hyped projects increases, creating fomo, which leads to buying the top… which leads to more ‘Cope’. We cope if things go up because we sold early or missed it entirely. We cope if things go down because we held it too long. Hell, we even cope if they stay the same as we’ve missed an ‘opportunity because of tied up liquidity’.
It is from this unending cycle that Cope Beanz were born.
What is CopeBeanz?
CopeBeanz is a collection of 1,500 unfortunate degen beans that sadly missed the ‘big’ project or sold it early, but still bought the merchandise and now wear it while searching the Metaverse for the next blue chip. They are still a bit salty about the whole experience.
The project references more than 100 previous projects in the space from huge successes like Bored Ape Yacht Club, to monumental disappointments like Pixelmon (no tweets in 54 days and counting…). In that way, it is the ultimate ‘satirical tribute’ as it art is based on more previous projects than any other in the space and acts as a commentary on the short history of our space and culture we have built in NFTs. With 300 traits it sure to hit or reference a part of each time worn NFT journey.
Are they a PFP (picture for profile) project?
Yes and no, it is part art, part meme and part PFP.
They are designed as a ‘dynamic PFP’ (posh way of saying pick what you like, it’s all good. For example this beauty here:
You could use the Croc, the GM, the Meta..Mask or the whole thing. Or if you’re super edgy, you could use just the background.
Why are a lot holding signs or wearing T-Shirts?
This is intended so that people can continue to edit and change their sign (get out old microsoft paint or you can ask me to make you a custom one).
