How did The Retros come about?

During quarantine, my friend and I, like most people got heavily invested into NFTS. When we weren’t actively grinding for WLs and making trades, we would game. Eventually we got tired of playing the same games, so we decided to pullout the old consoles and take a deep dive into the past. We started with the GameCube playing mostly Mario Party and Mario Kart Double Dash. Eventually we stemmed to playing all the consoles we had collected over the years such as the NES, SNES, SEGA Genesis, N64, Xbox, PS1 and the PS2. It was such an integral part of our time in quarantine, as it uplifted our spirits but in the same time strengthened our friendship by reminiscing about our childhood.

Which is why we wanted to share this experience, bringing back positivity and nostalgia during this bear market.

The Future of The Retros

The Retros is a CC0 venture that allows users to experience heartwarming feeling of nostalgia while benefiting from the advancements of Web3. With that we look forward to traveling back in time with our holders, by giving away retro consoles and accessories such as GameCubes, Tamagotchis and Gameboys. This gives a short-term incentive to hold, while also allows us to build trust and transparency within the community and WEB 3. This will show that we’re here for the long-term and we have a much larger vision for the future. We will use this opportunity to build a platform and ecosystem set in place to reward our early holders and believers. This is our first venture in WEB 3, we want to leave a positive footprint and build onto the future. As we’re strong believers in the future of NFTs as a whole.

We are excited for what the future holds as this is only the beginning.
